Moldovan deputy premier, head of EU Border Assistance Mission discuss Transnistrian settlement

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today had a meeting with Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM), Tesoriere Andrew, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The officials discussed the present situation in terms of Transnistrian conflict settlement process, tackling important subjects on the agenda of the Chisinau-Tiraspol political dialogue. Among them, there were prospects for setting joint control on the central (Transnistrian) segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, technical aspects in the transport field, ensuring free movement of residents, etc.
The deputy prime minister highlighted the importance and contribution of EUBAM to administrating and improving the Moldovan-Ukrainian border management.
