Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today demanded that the law-enforcement bodies, as well as the Health Ministry come up with solutions for decreasing the number of traffic accidents occurred on Moldovan roads.
The prime minister voiced concern about the large number of traffic accidents triggered by drunk drivers.
“I ask you intervene, analyze and propose solutions. The number of recorded accidents is on the rise. The last tragedy was the accident from Edinet, in the wake of which three young people died. The most serious fact is that the accidents take place because drivers take the wheel in ebriety. May be we shall increase the fines,” Filip noted.
Statistic data shows that almost 7,000 accidents took place in Moldova in 2015.
