Moldovan parliament votes law on moratorium on state control

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/- The parliament adopted the law on moratorium on state control for a three-month period in final reading today. It was supported with the vote of 56 MPs.
The draft law aims at ensuring a favorable framework to development of business environment, legislative and institutional optimization of state control.
Under the document, moratorium is set on state control, including fiscal and financial, on “quality of products, public health, on observance of labor protection and health rules”.
The provisions of the law are not applied on the control carried out within fire fighting measures, criminal investigation, the ones carried out by the National Bank of Moldova, Court of Accounts of Moldova, National Commission of Financial Market over private persons and legal entities carrying out activity insurance activity.
The draft sees that the relevant control body is forbidden during state control “to lift goods, documents or other objects on information, to seize or seal on assets which will lead to full or partial suspension of activity of person subject to the control. The supervisory body is entitled to make copies, photo or video recordings of objects on information”, the document reads.
Extension of the moratorium on state control is carried out each time for a period of at most three months.
