Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu will pay a working visit to Prague, the Czech Republic, on 30-31 March, following an invitation by his Czech counterpart, Jan Hamáček, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Candu will have meetings with Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček, President of the Czech Senate Milan Štěch, Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek. He will also hold talks with the Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee Karel Schwarzenberg.
The speaker’s visit to Prague is fitted into the context of developing interparliamentary cooperation to support Moldova’s European integration process, the Czech parliament being among the first national parliaments from the EU which ratified the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.
Jan Hamáček paid an official visit to Moldova in 2014, thus expressing the Czech authorities’ support for Moldova’s European integration process.
