Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, at a today’s cabinet meeting, demanded that the institutions from the agricultural and energy sectors actively cooperate to back farmers who import diesel directly from producers, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
In this context, the prime minister said that, starting from 1 April 2016, a government decision on possibility for farmers to import diesel directly from the producer entered into force. Filip noted that this was an extremely important measure of support for farmers, and for it to be efficient, regulation institutions needed to take joint effort. “We need a general mobilization, in order to make sure that all farmers are informed, know that they have this right and especially help them benefit from the latter,” the prime minister said.
Pavel Filip demanded ensuring transparency also in calculating the norms of consumption of fuels for carrying out agricultural works. In this respect, the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry is to ensure necessary conditions for all farmers willing to import diesel directly. “I insist that the farmers be informed on their right and on what they have to do to use it. All of us know that farmers spend most of their time on fields, not in front of TV sets; therefore, I ask you to find solutions for us to make sure that those who could benefit from this right will do this,” Pavel Filip stressed.
The prime minister also asked decision-makers from the National Energy Regulatory Agency to issue authorizations on import of diesel in a reasonable term, removing eventual useless bureaucratic obstacles.
