Moldovan National Army's contingent participates in military drills in Germany

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/-A National Army contingent participates in the “Saber Junction 2016”multinational drills, at the shooting ranges from Grafenwohr and Hohenfels, in Germany.
According to the commander of the Moldovan military contingent, Major Veaceslav Balan, drills aim to perform an experience exchange between participant states’ armed forces and enhance the interoperability when fulfilling missions. In compliance with international standards, liaison officers and observers will be trained to use the vehicle rollover simulator and shoot from infantry weapons in specially arranged rooms during the drills.
An amount of almost 5,000 soldiers from 18 countries- Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Britain, Moldova, Romania, USA, Turkey and others, will be trained during the drills. The National Army delegated a platoon of 24 military officers of “Fulger” special battalion to attend the “Saber Junction 2016”multinational drills.
“Saber Junction 2016” multinational drills is simultaneously organized in Germany, Romania and Lithuania by the U.S. Armed Forces European Command.
