Moldovan electoral body to sanction 17 political parties

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/-The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) is going to sanction 17 Moldovan parties over not submitting financial management reports for 2015 until 31 March 2016.
According to CEC data, only 26 out of the total number of 43 registered political parties have submitted financial reports for 2015 within the deadline set out by the legislation.
The Party of Communists (PCRM), Liberal Party (PL), European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM), “Partidul Forta Poporului” (People’s Power Party) political party, Democratic Party (PDM), Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Socialist Party (PSRM), Social-Democratic Party and “Partidul Nostru” (Our Party) party are among them.
According to the legislation in force, political parties that did not submit an annual financial report within the established deadline shall pay fines from 300 to 500 convention units.
