Energy efficient kindergarten to be constructed in Moldovan town

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today attended an event on inauguration of a site for construction of an energy efficient new type of kindergarten in the Calarasi town, central Moldova. The foundation stone of the future building was laid today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister stressed the importance of this project for modernising the education institutions of Moldova and expressed the cabinet’s support for such projects. “I have said that I would always back innovations and I am here for this reason. We start a very important construction for Calarasi, which is part of the new generation. We would even call it “The Kindergarten of the Future,” which is to be a beginning and a good example for other regions of Moldova too.”
The prime minister also referred to benefits of implementing new technologies in the field, highlighting that they are marked by savings in exploitation, a better energy efficiency, environmental protection, as well as by ensuring increased comfort for children.
Pavel Filip thanked the people and government of Germany, especially Her Excellency, Mrs. Ambassador Ulrike Knotz, who attended the event, for the assistance and financing of this social project, as well as technological transfer. “Our relation with our development partners is one that is marked by concrete deeds for the citizens of Moldova. Our European integration and rapprochement with the international organisations are found not only on the paper and in statements, but also in investments and concrete projects,” the prime minister said.
It is worth mentioning that the new institution would be of crèche type, meant for children up to the age of 3, or, the social need for creating crèches is an objective of the government, in the context of early education for children.
The Calarasi kindergarten will have a total capacity of 100 places and will be inaugurated in the first half of 2017. The kindergarten’s construction is part of the Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency project, implemented with the financial support of the German Investment Bank KfW.
