Moldovan deputy foreign minister attends meeting of CIS foreign ministers council in Moscow

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today participated in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held in Moscow, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The meeting’s agenda included 18 issues of cooperation within CIS in diverse sectors of common interest, including health field, combating organised crime, culture and organisation of exhibitions. The participants in the event considered proposals on optimizing and enhancing the efficiency of the further work of this organisation.
The Moldovan delegation did not take part in examining matters on political and military cooperation.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Lilian Darii had discussions with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdylaev, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, within which the sides considered diverse aspects on prospects for developing the bilateral relations with the concerned states.
The participants in the sitting agreed on holding the next meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 15 September 2016, before an ordinary meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
