Moldovan parliament changes composition of standing bureau

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/ - The head of the faction of the Party of Communists (PCRM), Inna Supac, was included in the parliament’s Standing Bureau, under a decision passed by the parliament today.
The MPs changed the composition of the Standing Bureau, after the PCRM faction had demanded replacement of lawmakers Artur Resetnicov and Violeta Ivanov, who left the Party of Communists, by the new head of the Communist faction, Ina Supac.
At the meeting, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu noted that the Standing Bureau had ruled not to exclude Artur Resetnicov and Violeta Ivanov from the latter and increase the number of the Bureau’s members from 12 to 13.
The Standing Bureau is the parliament’s working body and is formed based on the proportional representation of the factions in parliament. The Bureau is made up of the parliament speaker and the deputy speakers, with the numerical and nominal composition of the Standing Bureau being established by parliament decision, at a proposal by the factions.
The present members of the Standing Bureau are: Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, Deputy Speakers Liliana Palihovici and Vladimir Vitiuc, Tudor Deliu (Liberal Democratic Party), Dumitru Diacov (Democratic Party), Igor Dodon (Party of Socialists), Mihai Ghimpu (Liberal Party), Zinaida Grecianii (Party of Socialists), Violeta Ivanov (Social Democratic Platform), Marian Lupu (Democratic Party), Artur Resetnicov (Social Democratic Platform), Iurie Tap (Liberal Democratic Party) and Inna Supac (PCRM).
