First round of privatization organised by Moldovan Public Property Agency in 2016 to bring about 313 million lei to budget

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - Seven state public property assets at a total price of 312 million 922,300 lei have been adjudged within the first round of privatization organised by the Public Property Agency (APP) in 2016.
According to the Economics Ministry’s press service, stocks of three stock companies were adjudged within a public sale on the regulated market (Stock Exchange): the Department Store Unic stock company (the state’s share - 85.45 per cent) at a price of over 252 million lei, Aeroport Catering stock company (100 per cent) – over five million lei, Amelioratorul stock company (99.38 per cent) more than 982,000 lei.
At an Dutch auction, the following unfinished units were adjudged: a trade centre from the Dezghingea village, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauz-Yeri, at a price of 94,000 lei and a club with engineering networks from the Horodiste village, central Calarasi district, at a price of 382,000 lei.
At a tender organised by APP on 19 February – 23 March 2016, bids were made for the privatization of three state enterprises (single property complexes). Following the consideration of the bids made, the commission for holding commercial and investment tenders on privatization of public property, at a meeting from 4 April 2016, accepted the turning private of the Zarea hotel at a price of 35.150 million lei and the Enterprise for Repair and Exploitation of Vehicles from Chisinau at a price of 19 million lei. The deadline for paying the price for the purchased assets is 4 May 2016.
As for the privatization of the affiliated enterprise with foreign investments (100 per cent), “Sanatoriul Sanatate” (Sanatate health resort), placed in the Sergeevka town, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, Ukraine, the commission for holding commercial and investment tenders on privatization of public property is to decide at a subsequent meeting.
Additionally, the buyers of state public property pay a tax worth one per cent of the transactions’ value to the national public budget; thus, the overall sum resulting from privatization is 316 million 51,500 lei. Presently, more than 260.5 million lei has been already paid to the state budget.
