Japan to provide grant worth 90,000 dollars to Moldovan Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts will be endowed with multimedia equipments within a grant of non-refundable financial assistance worth 90,000 dollars, provided by the Government of Japan.   

According to the Culture Ministry’s press service, the grant contract has been recently signed in Kiev by Shigeki Sumi, Japanese Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova, with headquarters in the Ukrainian capital, and the rector of the aforementioned academy, Victoria Melnic, in the presence of Moldovan Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine Ruslan Bolbocean.   

The action takes place within the KUSANONE programme of grants in the field of human security and developing education and culture. The programme will be implemented based on an agreement between the Moldovan and Japanese governments on carrying out of a programme of grants for implementing projects on modernisation of education institutions from Moldova.    

The project is provided for buying professional equipments, due to be used in training students in the film and TV – video cameras with accessories for shooting, system blocks and software for postproduction, projects and screens for projections.    

To carry out the project, a multimedia centre will be set up at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, for training students with three components: shooting studio, students’ direction workshop and students’ production centre.
