World Bank provides Moldovan companies with grants for developing export-oriented business

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Implementation Unit of the World Bank’s Competitiveness Enhancement Project (CEP II) has approved for financing seven files on developing export-oriented business. Fourteen Moldovan companies will sell their goods on the markets of EU, Russia, Turkey, Namibia, Japan and China, due to the grants provided by CEP II.

The companies will benefit from non-refundable financial assistance, in order to enhance their competitiveness on foreign sales markets. Among the project’s beneficiaries, there are producers of textiles, vegetable oils, teas, electronic and mechanic products, as well as services and information technologies.

Fourteen files have been approved since the starting of CEP II, another three are under evaluation. CEP II provides grants worth up to 200,000 lei. The small-and medium-sized enterprises willing to export will benefit from financial backing.  Among the services that may be covered with the money offered by the project, there are development of a business plan, market or promotion study, developing a strategy of export and preparing the documentation for international trade. Private enterprises will receive financing also for the elaboration of the design logo and corporate identity, product brand, goods’ register, webpage or an online shop.
