Moldovan foreign minister, Estonian parliament speaker tackle bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/-In the context of his official visit to Estonia, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur met Estonian Parliament Speaker Eiki Nestor today. The Moldovan official also held meetings with the members of the Estonian parliamentary commission for foreign affairs and representatives of the Moldovan-Estonian parliamentary friendship caucus, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Estonian MPs and the Moldovan deputy prime minister exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral ties, as well as on the modernization reforms Moldova must implement, as provided in the association agreement with the EU. In this context, the sides reiterated their mutual interest in enlarging and consolidating bilateral friendship and cooperation ties in various sectors, including in the parliamentary field.
Officials emphasized the important need to pay some mutual parliamentary visits at different levels, in order to create new opportunities to promote the inter-parliamentary dialogue and make exchange of experience.
Moldovan Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur is paying an official visit to Estonia on 13-14 April, at the invitation of his Estonian counterpart, Marina Kaljurand.
