Moldovan, Romanian officials discuss bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii met Romanian Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu today. The Moldovan official is on a visit to Bucharest to hold a new round of inter-ministerial political consultations, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the officials spoke out for enlarging and deepening bilateral cooperation ties in various sectors based on strategic partnership, touching upon on joint historical and cultural affinities in this sense.
Darii thanked the Romanian government for offering Moldova generous and valuable support to help it implement the reforms provided in the EU Association Agreement and overcome the difficulties its society is currently facing.
For his part, Comanescu reiterated Romania’s availability to further back Moldova in the promotion of its agenda of EU reforms and support its populations through concrete actions.
