Moldovan parliament sets up inquiry commission to check work of state enterprise

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- The parliament today created an inquiry commission in charge of verifying the activity of Posta Moldovei (Moldovan Post Office) state enterprise.
Members of the commission will be Socialist MP Adrian Lebedinschi, Socialist MP Grigore Novac, Democrat MP Marcel Raducan, Democrat MP Vladimir Andronachi, Communist MP Vasile Panciuc and unaffiliated MP Nae-Simion Plesca. Liberal-Democrat MP Grigore Cobzac was appointed as the head of the commission, Liberal MP Vladimir Cernat as its deputy head and Social-Democrat MP Anatolie Zagorodnii will be the secretary of the commission.
The inquiry commission was created at the initiative of Liberal Democrat MP Tudor Deliu. In the beginning of the parliament’s meeting, he said “the proposal was made in the context of the information according to which the institution’s employees would have transported anabolic substances abroad. In this context, authorities in charge shall verify to what extent is the institution observing the law,” Deliu noted.
The proposal was subsequently backed by the factions of the Socialist Party, Democratic Party, Socialist-Democrat Platform and other unaffiliated MPs.
Within one month, the inquiry commission shall submit the parliament a comprehensive report on the involvement of decision-making factors or employees of Posta Moldovei state enterprise in the illegal transportation of prohibited substances.
