Moldovan speaker to participate in events dedicated to 1,050th anniversary of Poland's Baptism

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today participates in solemn events organized on the occasion of the 1,050th anniversary of Baptism of Poland, at an invitation by his counterpart, Marek Kuchciński, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Candu will meet Polish President Andrzej Duda, Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Marek Kuchciński and Vice President of the German Bundestag Johannes Singhammer.
The main topics are focused on implementation of Moldova’s European agenda and consolidation of cooperation relations and support between parliaments.
Also, Candu will participate in a religious service at Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Poznan.
Poland’s Baptism, as it is known in history, has a special meaning and marks the beginning of the country’s Christianization, a period which, according to historians, would represent the beginning of the Polish state.
