Moldovan foreign minister, Slovakian counterpart discuss bilateral ties

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/-Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur held a bilateral meeting with his Slovakian counterpart, Miroslav Lajčák, in the context of his participation in the 11th edition of GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the evolution of bilateral ties and prospects to develop Moldovan-Slovakian cooperation in various fields of common interest. They have also touched upon the start of Slovakia’s presidency of the Council of EU on 1 July 2016. The Moldovan official thanked Slovakian authorities for helping Moldova modernize and for maintaining it on the list of states benefiting from development assistance.
For his part, Slovakian Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák reiterated Slovakia’s availability to back the efforts of the Moldovan government in the implementation of the reforms provided in the EU Association Agreement. The two officials have also agreed to continue the enforcement of the bilateral agenda.
