Moldovan, Romanian officials broach bilateral relations

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- In the context of the Global Security Forum –GLOBSEC 2016, held in Bratislava, Slovakia, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with his Romanian counterpart, Lazar Comanescu, on 15 April, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.
The sides exchanged opinions about the up-to-date issues on the agenda of bilateral relations, as well as on European reform agenda of Moldova. The two officials reiterated the mutual interest in boosting the political dialogue and implementing agreements reached at the high-ranking meetings, recently held in Bucharest, as well as in meeting the goals set at the joint meetings of the two governments. They confirmed the joint willingness to organize the next meeting of joint commission for European integration in the near future in Chisinau.
Galbur thanked the Romanian government for the valuable assistance offered to Moldova in implementing the reforms, carrying out important projects in the infrastructure and energy and people’s support.
For his part, Comanescu reiterated Romania’s willingness to further back the reform policy and overcoming difficulties faced by the Moldovan society lately.
