GLOBSEC global security forum dedicates special session to Moldova

Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur attends the 11th edition of GLOBSEC Global Security Forum, in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 15-17 April 2016, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication department has reported.
The agenda of the forum includes current security matters, focusing on the new challenges the international community is facing, such as the refugee crisis, terrorism threat, as well as the situation in Ukraine and Syria. The participants in the forum also tackle prospects to resize the security architecture in Central Europe.
During a session dedicated to Moldova, Galbur reiterated the Moldovan government’s commitment to boost up the reforms provided in the association agreement. The sides also tackled the Transnistrian conflict’s settlement. The Moldovan foreign minister emphasized the need to unconditionally resume the five-plus-two negotiations, in order to progress with the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, observing Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
