Moldovan, Russian customs services sign inter-action plan in anti-fraud sector

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan and Russian Customs Services have signed an inter-action plan in the anti-fraud sector for 2017-2020 in Moscow. The plan is meant to ensure boosting of the cooperation to prevent and fight customs frauds.
“The director of Moldova’s Customs Service, Vitalie Vrabie, and the head of the Russian Customs Service, Vladimir Bulavin, at a meeting had discussions on developing and facilitating the bilateral trade, in terms of export of alcoholic production, fruit and vegetables goods, as well as textiles from Moldova to Russia. Another topic considered was the creation and implementation of an electronic system of certifying goods’ origin, as well as improving the exchange of preliminary information on goods and transport units crossing the borders of the two states,” a press release of the Customs Service reads.
Also, the officials agreed on carrying out joint actions and organizing, in the near future, of more bilateral meetings, in order to settle up-to-date problems on the customs cooperation agenda, as well as developing the commerce between the two states.
The meeting took place within the 14th meeting of the inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation between Moldova and Russia, held on 28-29 November.
