Speaker of British House of Commons to pay official visit to Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 08 February /MOLDPRES/ – Within the frame of the working visit to London, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu had a meeting with Speaker of British House of Commons Rt Hon. John Bercow, shortly before starting the vote of the Legislature for the initiation of the output of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The two officials expressed interest in keeping good relations and their development regardless of Great Britain attitude to the European Union.

Speaker of the House of Commons congratulated Andrian Candu on the recent progress in the democratic development of Moldova. He welcomed the reform agenda presented by the Speaker opting for the development and preservation of democratic values, equality, fight against corruption and a free market in Europe.

The Parliament Speaker invited Speaker of the House of Commons to pay a visit to Chisinau. The invitation was accepted by the Rt Hon. John Bercow. It is worth to be mentioned, that Rt Hon. John Bercow is from a family which had emigrated from Romania to Britain in the early XXth century.
