Moldovan government adopts national plan of activities dedicated to year of national scientist in medicine

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers approved in its today meeting the National Plan of events dedicated to Year Nicolae Testemitanu.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, during 2017, as sign of high appreciation for his outstanding contribution to health development, it will be organized a series of scientific, cultural and sports events dedicated to marking the 90th anniversary of the birth of the scientist.

Among the most important actions are: organizing Congress IV of specialists in social medicine and health management, scientific conferences and public lectures, publishing anniversary articles and opening of the photographic exhibition and book, dedicated to the scientist.

Nicolae Testemitanu was a doctor, scientist, educator and academician. In the period of 1963 – 1968 he served as minister of health, was noticed by modernizing the system of medicine and training highly qualified professionals in this field.
