Moldovan General Police Inspectorate's ascertaining subjects to receive financial motivations

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved a government decision for providing of financial motivations to the ascertaining agents of the subdivisions of the Interior Ministry’s General Police Inspectorate (IGP).   

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the draft’s goal is to consolidate the capacities of preventing and fighting corruption, stimulate ascertaining agents, in order to sanction all infringements, as well as compensate employees’ professional performances.  

Thus, the ascertaining agents will receive financial stimulations worth 25 per cent of the fines collected in the state budget following the examination of contravention processes.  

The procedure of providing the aforementioned stimuli today was established in a regulation approved by the cabinet, which sees that they will provided quarterly, from the IGP’s budget, where 25 per cent of the sum of the fines collected in the state budget will be transferred.  

In 2016, the ascertaining agents of the General Police Inspectorate drew up over 263,000 contravention processes, of which 228,000 were paid, with the sum amounting to 82.6 million lei.
