Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/ - An MP of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Iurie Chiorescu, today said he quit the formation and joined the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM).
Chiorescu made the announcement on the first day of his participation in the parliament meeting, after the Constitutional Court had validated his mandate of lawmaker three days ago.
Iurie Chiorescu said that “PLDM is a party which abandoned his ideas and convictions for which the citizens voted it. This political formation has isolated itself; therefore, I want to inform you that I resign from PLDM and join PDM. In this way, I observe my commitment which I took before voters,” Chiorescu said.
Iurie Chiorescu also held an MP mandate in 2011-2014 and has been member of the PLDM Central Standing Bureau and National Political Council.
The PDM faction will have 41 lawmakers following Chiorescu’s joining this formation.
