Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the most demanded Premium-95 petrol will drop by 0.46 lei per one litre and the diesel will cheapen by 0.47 lei as of 3 May. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today set a ceiling selling price for the Premium-95 petrol at 17.72 lei for one litre and for diesel - at 15.01 lei for 3-16 May.
On the previous period, the Premium-95 petrol’s pump price was of 18.18 lei for one litre and of diesel – 15.48 lei.
The new prices for petrol will enter into force at midnight, when operators will have no right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than the ones established by ANRE. The prices posted on ANRE’s webpage today will be valid for 14 calendar days.
On 2 May, the petrol price continued decreasing to 48.7 dollars per one barrel (WTI) and the Brent petrol today morning was sold for 51.42 dollars per one barrel. There are fears on the oil market that the increase in the production by the USA will annihilate the effort of OPEC and the states which are not members of this organization to cut oil extractions.
