State Chancellery organizes information session on projects within Danube Transnational Programme 2014-2020

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/- The State Chancellery today organized, with the support of the Austrian Development Agency, a workshop on the launch of the second call for projects within the Danube Transnational Programme 2014-2020, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The event brought together over 80 representatives of the central and local public authorities, regional development agencies and civil society.
Opening the workshop, Deputy Secretary of the government Valentin Guznac pointed out the importance of conducting such information sessions. “I am confident that today’s event will develop new initiatives for the community and therefore will increase the level of participation of Moldova in the programs for the EU Strategy for the Danube Region”, Guznac said.
During the training, the participants were informed about the priority goals of the Danube Transnational Programme, eligibility rules and results of the first call for proposals.
The Danube Transnational Programme is eligible for the 14 states of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and aims to boost innovation and entrepreneurship, preserve natural and cultural heritage of the Danube region, improve connectivity and support transition to a low-carbon economy.
For the institutions in our country, the programme offers the possibility to benefit from about 2.3 million euros and represents an unprecedented opportunity to develop transnational partnerships in areas of economic and social importance.
