Moldovan-Slovenian political consultations on European integration held in Ljubljana

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- On 16 May, Moldovan-Slovenian political consultations on European integration took place in Ljubljana, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.
The Moldovan delegation was lead by Daniela Morari, Deputy Minister of foreign affairs and European integration, the Slovenian delegation by Darja Bavdaž Kuret, State Secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
The officials discussed different aspects of the European integration agenda, sectoral cooperation domains in which the experience and expertise of Slovenia could facilitate the implementation of the Republic of Moldova - EU Association Agreement, priorities for the Eastern Partnership Summit.
The Slovenian side acknowledged the efforts undertaken by the Moldovan authorities in achieving the commitments which derive from the Association Agreement, reiterating its availability to further support the European path of Moldova and to explore the cooperation potential based on the Joint Declaration of the ministers of foreign affairs on European integration from July 22nd 2013.
Likewise, the agenda comprised bilateral cooperation issues, the security dimension, Common Foreign and Security Policy, regional cooperation, as well as strategic communication.
The parties encouraged the consolidation of the political dialogue and organization of high level bilateral visits. In this sense it was agreed to organize in Chisinau in autumn the next meeting of the Moldovan-Slovenian Commission on economic cooperation jointly with a business forum. Also, the parties agreed to exchange best practices on economic diplomacy.
