Moldovan invitations to foreigners to be issued online

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers approved at the meeting the supplements and amendments to the Regulation on the issuance of invitations to foreigners today. The new provisions will allow the applicants to submit the application on-line and obtain the necessary document in electronic format, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The approved document regulates the conditions for the submission of the application as well as the procedure for the examination and adoption of the decision in this respect. Thus, in order to apply for the short-stay visa for the citizens of other states, individuals with permanent/temporary residence in Moldova or legal persons will submit the application and the documents provided in the Regulation in digital format, stored and managed by the competent authority for foreigners. After examination, the electronic invitation or refusal to issue the document will be sent to the applicant by e-mail, in a format to ensure viewing and printing.

The receiving and examining online requests will simplify the actual procedures by reducing the service delivery time and costs on behalf of the applicant.

At present, the citizens of 85 states need invitations to obtain visa to Moldova.
