Moldovan delegation condemns incidents triggered by so-called Transnistrian power-wielding forces in Security Zone

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - An ordinary meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) was held in Bender on 18 May. The action was chaired by the Transnistrian delegation and nine subjects were tackled at the event, the Reintegration Policies Bureau as reported.
Thus, under the agenda, the participants in the meeting heard and approved a weekly report on the present situation in the Security Zone (ZS).
An important topic re-brought for discussion by the Moldovan delegation to JCC was the one on measures due to be undertaken to ensure full military transparency in ZS, in line with the provisions of the Ceasefire Agreement from 21 July 1992; yet, this subject was postponed for additional consultations for the next meeting.
Afterwards, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission in Moldova unveiled information on the activity and meeting of the working groups in charge of considering the situation of the posts placed in the Security Zone and of maintaining the law order. These groups are to continue their activity according to the procedures established.
The Moldovan delegation to the Commission spread an addressing on an incident which took place on 30 April 2017, in which it condemns the obstacles and impediments artificially imposed to the free movement of persons in the Security Zone, as well as the violation of their rights by the so-called Transnistrian power-wielding forces.
