Moldovan diplomacy head meets foreign minister of Cyprus

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur has had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Cyprus Ioannis Kasoulides, in the context of participation in the 127th session of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 18-19 May, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

The two officials reviewed the excellent Moldovan-Cypriot bilateral cooperation relations, stressing the common interest in developing the ties in diverse sectors, both at the bilateral and at the multilateral levels.

A special subject of the discussions represented issues of Moldova’s European integration. In particular, Minister Andrei Galbur thanked Cyprus for the constant support provided to Moldova in European integration, especially through support messages and actions within EU.

The sides also discussed matters on international and regional security.

Minister Galbur made an invitation to his Cypriot counterpart to pay an official visit to Moldova.
