Vintage cars of Moldovan parliament's collection to be first ever exhibited at European Museum Night

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - Two vintage cars of the parliament’s garage will be exhibited to the public at the European Museum Night for the first time ever, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The vehicles will be displayed in the yard of the National History Museum of Moldova during 12:00-24:00 today. The cars of the models ZIL 41047 and CIAIKA GAZ 14 were formerly used to carry high-ranking officials, as well as by the former Moldovan presidents Mircea Snegur and Petru Lucinschi.
The black-coloured vehicle ZIL 41047 was produced in Moscow in 1989 and was the last Soviet car produced without limit of budget and technologies. On that period, it was the longest limousine car in the world. As many as 190 vehicles of this model were produced in all. The car has a double system of feeling up with petrol and electricity. The limousine car of the parliament’s garage was used to produce a Russian movie in 2006.
The car CIAIKA GAZ 14, also coloured in black, was produced in 1987 in the former USSR. As many as 1,120 vehicles of this model were made in all. Among the special endowments of the car, there are the automatic gear-box, air conditioning system, as well as permanent phone connection on all the area of the Soviet Union, provided by the former KGB. The vehicle has covered 120,000 km in all.
After being displayed at the exhibition at the National History Museum, the two cars will be exhibited on the parliament’s square on 23 May.
