Moldovan speaker expresses solidarity with British people

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu conveyed condolences to Speaker of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom Lord Fowler and Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

“On behalf of my colleagues and on my own behalf, let me express condolences to the British people and express my compassion to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased. In these moments of great sadness, we express our solidarity in condemning the violence against peaceful people”, the message reads.

According to official data, at least 22 people, including children, died and several dozen people were injured in a terrorist attack on 22 May during a Manchester Arena concert.
