Moldovan, Italian officials broach cooperation relations

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- Secretary General of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry Anatol Vangheli today met Italian Ambassador to Moldova Valeria Biagiotti, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.

The officials exchanged opinions about the ways of advancing the cooperation relations between Moldova and Italy in the context of marking this year the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The sides appreciated the constructive and ascendant Moldovan-Italian relations in the political, economic and social sector, as well as Italy’s support for Moldova’s European integration. At the same time, they reconfirmed the joint commitment to further strengthen the bilateral partnership by boosting the political dialogue, bilateral high-level visits and increasing the trade exchange. Also, they referred to the Moldovan-Italian cooperation in the consular field and the importance of strengthening the bilateral legal framework in order to better ensure the rights and interests of citizens of both countries who are in the other country.
