Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- Costs for a day in state-funded summer camps vary between 129 and 196 lei per day, according to a government decision due to be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 26 May.
Under the document, funding of summer camps for children and adolescents will be made from the state budget and local budgets, from the amounts paid by parents and resources earmarked by enterprises, organizations and associations.
The government offers free of charge 25 per cent of number of tickets allocated to the camps for several categories of children and adolescents, including orphans, those from disadvantaged families, single parents and families with three or more children. The remaining tickets to summer camps will be sold with a discount of 80 per cent of the total cost of the ticket.
At the same time, the Education Ministry will buy 100 tickets for pupils in Romania and pupils in the conflict zone of the eastern regions of Ukraine and 50 tickets for Ukrainian institutions with teaching in Romanian, plus travel expenses in Moldova. Also, the ministry will buy 300 tickets for pupils from general education institutions in the eastern districts of Moldova.
The maximum cost of a ticket in summer camps and health recovery of children and adolescents was calculated according to the length exchange, based on indicative cost for a day of the funded camps.
In summer 2017, about 80 camps are expected to be organized, which nearly 60,000 children and adolescents will benefit from.
