Strong Border 2017 anti-terrorist exercise held in southern Moldova

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- The “Strong Border 2017” anti-terrorist exercise today entered the final stage, which takes place in Cahul district. The action is organized by the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) of Moldova in cooperation with Ukrainian counterparts.

According to the SIS press service, the institutions of the national system for preventing and combating terrorism are involved in the operation.

The event aims at verifying procedures specific to crisis management. In this context, several incidents with borderline terrorism will be simulated in Giurgiulesti village, Cahul district.

SIS noted that the activity is part of the complex of actions meant to consolidate the national system for preventing and combating terrorism and ensuring security in the region by developing partnerships between the special services of Moldova and Ukraine.
