Decision on setting up of Public Services Agency to be published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - A decision on the setting up of the Public Services Agency will be published in the 26 May issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The document provides for the applying of the principle of single desk when providing public services and ensuring their digitalization, including optimizing the operational processes and cutting costs borne by citizens.
The decision sees that the state enterprise „Centrul Resurselor Informaționale de Stat „Registru” (Registru State Information Resources Centre) is reorganized by transformation into the public institution, Public Services Agency, due to be subordinated to the government. At the same time, the state enterprise, State Registration Chamber, state enterprise Cadastru (cadastre), the Registrar’s Office, subordinated to the Justice Ministry, and the Licensing Chamber, subordinated to the Economics Ministry, will enter the new entity by merger.
Following the unification of the institutions, the tariffs for the services provided will be cut. At the same time, the Agency will ensure modernization of public services, will facilitate residents’ access to the latter and will enhance the efficiency of the dialogue between authorities and citizens.
The Public Services Agency was set up in line with the provisions of the public administration reform and the action plan on the reform on modernizing the public services for 2017-2021.
