New state distinction set up following initiative of Moldovan president

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- A new state distinction was set up in Moldova. A decree to this effect was issued by Moldovan President Igor Dodon and will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 26 May.
Under the decree, the Diploma of Honor will be a distinction offered by the head of state as a form of reward for special merits to the state.
The diploma will be awarded to citizens, enterprises, institutions, organizations, public associations, creative organizations, regardless of legal and organizational form, as well as military units and subunits.
The distinction will be offered for the consolidation of statehood, outstanding achievements in public activity, promotion of social policy of the state, environmental policies, saving lives, promoting youth policy, development of entrepreneurship, promotion of foreign policy, assertion of democratic press, journalistic activity, development of inter-state information space, efficiency of public financial resource management, participation in strengthening national consciousness, development of veterans movement.
The Diploma of Honor may also be awarded to foreigners, as well as international organizations and creative teams in other countries.
The distinction will be made up of a purple folder for documents of A4 and diploma.
Diploma will be awarded by the president and will not be post-mortem.
