Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today took note of the resignation of the MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Andrei Neguta and Victor Sorocean.
The juridical parliamentary commission for rules and immunities approved and unveiled to the parliament’s plenum the applications on resignation of Socialist lawmakers Andrei Neguta and Victor Sorocean and declared two mandates vacant.
The two MPs rendered resignation after they had been appointed as Moldova’s ambassadors to Russia and, respectively, Belarus.
The vacant mandates will be filled by the head of the Causeni PSRM territorial organization, Oleg Cuciuc, and the secretary of the Floresti territorial organization, Sergiu Groza. They will be able to take over the powers of lawmakers only after the Constitutional Court validates their mandates.
