Moldovan president meets Hungarian counterpart in Budapest

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to Budapest, head of state Igor Dodon today met Hungarian President Janos Ader, the presidential press service has reported.
The sides exchanged opinions about the current stage of the Moldovan-Hungarian bilateral relations, as well as their development perspective in the future.
Dodon congratulated Janos Ader on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two states, and noted the sustainable character of the Moldovan-Hungarian relations, reflected in constant consolidation of bilateral political dialogue in all fields, including at level of international organizations.
At the same time, the officials discussed the new legislative initiatives to ensure transparency of NGO funding, to preserve and strengthen the statehood of the two countries. “The initiative promoted by our Hungarian partners to finance NGOs is very interesting and I think it could be implemented in Moldova too”, Dodon said.
Also, the head of state pointed out the interest in strengthening and extending the cooperation relations in all spheres of common interest, including economic, cultural, investment etc.
Dodon invited the Hungarian official to pay an official visit to Moldova.
