Moldovan parliament appoints two members of Teleradio-Moldova company's Council of Observers

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament appointed Alexandru Vasilachi and Veaceslav Vlad as members of the Observers’ Council (CO) of the National Public Broadcasting Institution "Teleradio-Moldova", today.
The two were suggested by the parliamentary committee on culture, education, research, youth, sport and media following a competition. Firstly, nine candidates submitted their CVs for the CO’s membership: Alexandru Vasilachi, Marcel Dragan, Veaceslav Vlad, Alexandru Grosu, Larisa Calugaru, Gheorghe Ciobanu, Alexandru Popovici, Stefan Secareanu and Dumitru Crudu.
Alexandru Vasilachi is a professional director and holds the position of director of "Moldova Film" S.A. Veaceslav Vlad is an actor and TV presenter.
The Observers’ Council is the autonomous governing body of the National Public Broadcasting Company "Teleradio-Moldova", which aims to ensure the right of citizens and society to obtain reliable, complete and operative information, being empowered to monitor the Company’s compliance with legislation and statutory provisions.
The Council is made up of nine members, public figures with professional qualifications in various fields such as culture, art, cinema, journalism, law, financial management and business management, public relations, international relations, academia and media. They were appointed by Parliament for four years.
