Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/- “Tipocart print” Publishing House printed out under the aegis of the literary club “Pasarea maiastra” of Chisinau a novel parable of Russian expression “Cromozomul XXI” (Chromozom XXI), by author Valeriu Renita.
Poet Olesea Rudeaghin, head of the Association of Russian Writers of Moldova praised the first two chapters of the novel, published a month ago in the literary magazine “Russkoie pole”, as an entirely original phenomenon. It is about “a special style of a Moldovan who feels and writes Russian”.
“The book’s heroes are my contemporaries, who continue to feel the consequences of Soviet Union still in process of disintegration. The novel covers the last 25 years of our history not quite successful, including the color war and revolution. Political and religious forces are targeted, which, by alliance or in conflict, impede or on the contrary stimulate the disintegration of the Soviet empire. The novel suggests a path for the future of Moldova and perhaps for all humanity”, Renita said.
“Why is the genre of the novel parable? The action of the novel takes place in the suburb of the capital of one of the CIS countries, without any geographical specification. It could have happened in Georgia, Ukraine, anywhere on the territory of our former homeland – the USSR. Of course, allegories are closer to Moldovan realities, but comparisons are not as direct as they seem. For example, in my novel, the color revolution is rushing from a conflict between power and sexual minority – LGBT”, Renita said.
The 350 copies of the novel will be followed by an additional edition according to marketing, which is handled by the book network “Librarius”. Another Moldovan network, specialized in electronic book, refused, according to the author, the novel under the false pretext that it would collaborate only with publishers. The electronic version of the novel can be read and purchased in Russian internet shops.
It is the third prose book of the well-known journalist Valeriu Renita, who also signed documentary films as author, screenwriter and producer. Renita started in the 1990s with two short prose texts in Romanian, published in the collection “Dintre sute de catarge”. He returned to the literary activity of Russian expression in 2016 with two books called “Mită celui de Sus” (“Tipocart print”) and „Visătorul de pe gazon” („Cartier”).
