Chisinau to host more activities dedicated to International Children's Day

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ – On 01 June 2017, central and local public authorities, development partners and non-governmental organizations will hold events in Public Garden "Stefan cel Mare" on the occasion of the International Children's Day. The program will begin at 10.00 a.m. and will cover more activities dedicated to children's security, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The theme of the event was selected in the context of the Campaign "Prevention of Child Accidents", launched on 23 February 2017, by the State Chancellery through the Permanent Secretariat of the National Council for the Protection of Child's Rights in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the project "Regionalization of Emergency Pediatric Services And Intensive Therapy of Moldova".

As such, the park will be divided into five special areas where there will be organized games, exhibitions, competitions, interactive activities, distributed information materials for children and parents. The activities in each area will be presented by children, young people and teachers from different localities of Moldova, thus creating favorable conditions for socializing.

The start of the holiday will be given by 100 children who will participate in a flash mob in order to promote the children’s safety in various accidents. After that, it will be organized an artistic program and presented by the beneficiaries of the Republican Centre for Children and Youth Artico and the municipal creation centres.

Also, it will be organized a survey: "Child's opinion counts" to identify activities of high interest for children and their organization for 2018. Similarly at the event, the Diaspora Relations Office will communicate about the 5th issue of Program “DOR”.
