Moldovan PM says governance willing in continuation good ties with Russia, based on mutual respect

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip referred to the subject of expulsion of those five Russian diplomats in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM noted that the governance had not wanted to take such a decision and the emerging of this situation. Yet, Pavel Filip stressed that the national interest, Moldova’s security was at stake, which has priority against any other reasons.
In the context, Filip asked the persons holding public offices not to speculate on this measure. “I assure them that there were quite clear elements which prompted us to take this decision. We want in continuation to have good relations with Russia, yet, based on mutual respect,” the PM added.
