Moldovan cabinet appoints new deputy ministers

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - New deputy ministers at the Education Ministry, Environment Ministry and Transport and Roads Infrastructure Ministry were appointed at a cabinet meeting today. Thus, Ion Apostol will hold the office of deputy minister at the Environment Ministry, Lilia Pogolsa – the position of deputy minister at the Education Ministry and Anatol Usatii was appointed deputy minister at the Transport and Roads Infrastructure Ministry.    

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, Prime Minister Pavel Filip asked the deputy ministers to quickly take over their powers, so that the sectors they are in charge of should be covered as good as possible.  

As for the positions of minister which remained vacant, the PM specified that, on the immediately next period, the central public administration’s reform would be implemented; the new structure of the government, as well as the nominal composition for the ministerial offices will be unveiled.

The PM noted that the governance had managed to achieve a good cooperation with the Liberal ministers and deputy ministers and now it is important that the government continues its work. “Our responsibility is great. No matter the political developments, the government must work every day for citizens,” Pavel Filip said.  

Oleg Rotaru was appointed acting director of the Public Services Agency at the today’s meeting too.  

Also, Vitalie Birsan was appointed director of the Material Reserves Agency, Adrian Cazacu will hold the office of director of the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources and Lilia Bolocan will exercise the position of director of the State Intellectual Property Agency.
