Moldova's wide public to be able to access updated online information on Free Trade Agreement's implementation

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ – The degree of implementation of the Legislative Program for the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement for 2017 was examined on a parliamentary platform. The achievements and arrears were presented at the meeting of the Parliamentary Council for European Integration, headed by Speaker Andrian Candu and Council Chairman, Iurie Leanca, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.  

An expert group, by UK financial support, developed the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement’s (DCFTA) implementation monitoring platform. The mechanism will let the audience to access on-line updated, up-to-date, interactive, information on DCFTA’s implementation progress. Now, the project is at the stage of info completing as they come from the Government, and will be finished this July.

At the hearing, the chiefs of the parliamentary committees provided information on the acts adopted and those under the legislative procedure, the legislative and governmental arrears, and objectives for the second half of 2017.

In the first half of 2017, according to the Legislative Program, the adoption of 39 legislative acts was planned. According to the statistical data, there were submitted 27 legislative acts to the Parliament, respectively 12 documents were adopted and 15 were in the legislative procedure. For the second half of 2017, there are planned 69 actions. The Parliament assumed for 2017, totally 111 actions for implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.

The MPs agreed to set an action plan, including the scheduled measures by the end of 2017 and their degree of accomplishment, actions to overcome existing arrears, and ways to monitor the Government’s work.
