College from north Moldova town endowed with infrastructure needed by youth with special education requirements

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Agro-industrial College from northern Riscani town will provide access to education to young people with special educational needs, starting from next September. A specialized education hall allowing the carrying out of distance vocational education was arranged there, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The institution’s endowment with the needed equipment was made at a request by Ion Ivanov, a young man with locomotor deficiencies, who wrote PM Pavel Filip that he wants to continue studying, but he has no possibility to do this.
Thus, the necessary equipment and soft for the distance education was brought from the Prime Minister’s Fund. The education hall allows audio and video connection, giving persons with locomotor deficiencies possibility to attend online and interact with their fellows. Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that this project was an important step to ensure an inclusive education in the postsecondary vocational education institutions.
The system was tested successfully today. Ion Ivanov thanked for the coming true of his dream and urged people facing similar problems not to yield to difficulties. The young man also said that he wants to become accountant, and that he had all needed conditions for this now.
The college will also benefit from a special staircase inside the institution for persons with locomotor problems.
