More events dedicated to International Children's Day to take place in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - More cultural actions today will take place in Chisinau on the occasion of the International Children’s Day. The events started at 10:00 in the Stefan cel Mare public garden, where an entertainment show titled „Sigur şi fericit” (Safe and Happy) takes place, followed by a contest of drawing on pavement titled, Child Smile.
During the day, interactive and entertainment programmes are held on stages of the Chisinau city districts. A charity show for children with disabilities, children from families with many children and socially vulnerable families is performed at the Chisinau Circus beginning with 10:00.
A fairy scene of books, games, cherries and other surprises titled, Holiday of Childhood, is held at the branch of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children starting from 10:30. The event is organized by the host institution, Embassy of China in Moldova, public association, Children’s Fund from Moldova and the Prut publishing house. Attending the action are the wife of the Chinese ambassador to Moldova, Zhan Yanjun, writers Vasile Romanciuc and Irina Nechit, etc. Special guests of the event are children from family-type children’s homes of various Moldovan settlements.
On the same day at 11:00, the Centre of Military Culture and History organizes an artistic show titled, Children – Happiness and Pride, dedicated to the International Children’s Day. The schedule includes a concert and dances, contests of painting, sweets and entertainment games.
The Republican Puppet Theatre presents, beginning with 11:00, a show titled “Pomul lui Gorita” (Gorita’s Tree) by Ion Diordiev and the play Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren is performed at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre at 12:00. Also today at 12:00, the National Justice Institute hosts a ceremony on the awarding of prizes of the republican contest of fine arts for children – titled, Justice – I See You Like This, organized the by the host institution and the A. Sciusev school of fine arts for children on 27 January – 31 May.
A painting exhibition titled, Game Place for My Dream, is inaugurated at the National Library at 13:00. Beginning with 13:00, the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic hosts an extraordinary concert titled, Children for Children, in which soloists and the Chamber Orchestra of the Republican Boarding Music Lyceum Sergey Rakhmaninoff are to perform. A show, Cipollino – a ballet in three acts by Karen Khachaturian, takes place at the Maria Biesu National Theatre of Opera and Ballet starting from 16:00.
Cultural and entertainment actions dedicated to the International Children’s Day take place all over Moldova today.
