Moldovan Justice Ministry appoints new government agent

Chisinau, 02 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Justice Ministry (MJ) selection committee announced Oleg Rotari, the winner of the government agent competition, today. His candidacy is to be approved by the Government.
According to the MJ’s Press Service announcement, Oleg Rotari promoted the contest with a final score of 9.5 points. The candidate took a written test, an interview and a test of knowledge of EU official languages.
The competition commission consisted of six members: Eduard Serbenco, Deputy Minister of Justice, Cristina Melnic, Chief of Legislation Directorate General, Ruxanda Revencu, Deputy Head of General Director of Government Agent, Aliona Medvetcaia, State Chancellery Representative, Violeta Cojocaru, Member of the Superior Council of the Magistrates and Vitalie Nagacevschi, lawyer, president of the public association "Lawyers for Human Rights".
Oleg Rotari has a bachelor’s degree in law, studied philology (German-English) and worked for almost five years as a lawyer seconded to the ECHR. In June 2008 – November 2009, he held the position of consultant in the direction of the Government Agent of the Ministry of Justice.
According to the cited source, in March 2016 – April 2017, Marin Gurin held the position of Government Agent. In October 2016, he was seconded, through a government decision, to a Mali assistant mission. Previously, this position was occupied by Lilian Apostol, Vladimir Grosu, Vitalie Pirlog and Vitalie Nagacevschi.
