New Moldovan National Army contingent deployed in Kosovo

Chisinau, 02 June /MOLDPRES/ – A new National Army contingent in the KFOR peacekeeping operation was deployed today in Kosovo. This is the seventh mission of Moldovan soldiers in that region.
The contingent of the National Army, which will leave for Kosovo on Monday, 05 June 2017, includes 41 professional military service men, consisting of a senior state officer, seven gendarmes, and a platoon of 33 soldiers to carry out security and guard missions of military and patrol objectives.
The Moldovan soldiers will be deployed in Camp Vilaggio Italia, a multinational base from Pech, Kosovo. The mandate of Moldovan soldiers in Kosovo constitutes six months.
